Serrano won the WBC and IBO featherweight titles in 2019 against Heather Hardy. In 2021, she beat Daniela Romina Bermudez to win the IBO title. After losing to Katie Taylor in 2022 for lightweight gold, Serrano returns to featherweight with one goal in mind: dominate.

“I feel very happy because it is a division in which I feel comfortable. Also, I want to get one more title at 126 pounds. I want to be the undisputed champion (of this division). This is the first step. I’m ready. I go in with everything and without fear, as always,” Serrano told Sara Hernandez, via Boxing Scene.

“I am confident that I am going to win because this is my weight. No one can beat me at 126.”

Mahfoud made her pro debut in 2017. An IBF Inter-Continental featherweight champion, Mahfoud won the interim IBF featherweight title in 2020. Promoted to regular champion, she last fought in April, beating Nina Meinke via unanimous decision.
