Bader beat Fedor Emelianenko in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix finals to win the belt in 2019. He has only defended it once, against Cheick Kongo. That bout was a no-contest. Since that fight, he has focused on the light heavyweight division. Bader lost the Bellator light heavyweight title to Vadim Nemkov and recently competed in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, losing to Corey Anderson in October.

Moldavsky made his Bellator debut in 2017 and is on a six-fight win streak. A former RIZIN star, he beat Timothy Johnson in June to win the interim heavyweight title.
