The much-maligned quarterback made a wonderful first impression with the Rams in Week 14, stringing together an improbable fourth-quarter comeback. He’ll hope to do one better against the Packers, this time under the bright lights of “Monday Night Football.”
This has been a frustrating season for Green Bay and Los Angeles. Between poor performance, a growing injury list and impressive play by divisional opponents, the Packers and Rams are fixed towards the bottom of their respective divisions.
It’s not all bad, though. Christian Watson has been a revelation for the Pack, bagging touchdown after touchdown after an especially difficult start to the season. He’ll hope to add an eighth touchdown in his last five games on Monday.

The Rams have Mayfield, who is a bit of an unknown given his struggles over the past few years. He’s not blessed with a ton of receiving talent — the Los Angeles wide receiver room has looked sparse since Cooper Kupp went on injured reserve.
But he is facing another subpar defense in the Packers, so perhaps Mayfield can tear it up once more and show teams that he can throw the ball effectively. If so, he’ll stand to play a lot more football in the next few years, even if it’s not necessarily in LA.
