In the first meeting between the two teams, Curry had one of the worst shooting performances of his career. In 36 minutes of action, the two-time MVP finished with 12 points on 4-for-21 shooting from the field and 3-for-14 from 3-point range.
Defensive ace Mikal Bridges took on the primary assignment of guarding Curry, but it took a team effort to slow him down.
“A lot of it was them,” Curry said after the game. “Credit to their length and multiple efforts.”

When the Warriors and Suns played each other again a few days later, Curry was far more effective.
Logging 33 minutes, Curry scored a team-high 23 points on 8-for-20 shooting from the field and 6-for-11 from 3-point range. He led the Warriors to an impressive 118-96 victory that brought an end to Phoenix’s franchise-best 18-game winning streak.
The Warriors and Suns will meet once again on Christmas Day. Will Phoenix’s length give Curry trouble once again or will he figure out a way to break through?
