As usual, Genshin Impact 3.3 comes with new limited-time Wish Banners and events. Alongside this, players will get to experience the continuation of the Sumeru Archon quests. Version 3.3 also marks the release of Genshin Impact’s new permanent game mode: Genius Invokation TCG.

Genshin Impact 3.3: New Characters and More
Genshin Impact version 3.3 introduces one of the most highly-anticipated characters to the playable roster: the Wanderer, otherwise known as Scaramouche or Balladeer, the Sixth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. The Wanderer in Genshin Impact is the newest 5-Star character, wielding Anemo and a catalyst.
Alongside him is Faruzan, another new Anemo user but this time a 4-Star wielding a bow. Though not as popular as the Wanderer, Faruzan’s abilities make her a promising Anemo Support character. She’s also likely to play a part in the continuing story, which could lead to more players pulling for her.
These two new characters will most probably come out with reruns of older 5-Star characters as well as select 4-Star characters to feature on each Genshin Impact 3.3 Wish Banner. For now, however, the final lineup has yet to be announced. That said, some players speculate that the Raiden Shogun will be the next rerun. Others think it will be Itto or Eula. Regardless, the community will have to wait for confirmation from HoYoverse.
Aside from the new limited-time Wish Banners, players can expect new weapons for Genshin Impact 3.3, as hinted by some new leaks. One new weapon will reportedly be a 5-Star catalyst specifically for the Wanderer. Given that it’s tailored for Anemo DPS characters, it will likely be a great weapon for Shikanoin Heizou as well.
Similarly, there are leaks surrounding new artifact sets dropping in Genshin Impact 3.3. The first unnamed artifact set is supposedly tailored for the Wanderer as it boosts Anemo damage and Attack speed. That said, the same set also works for characters like Heizou or Xiao. The second unnamed set, on the other hand, is focused on the Dendro-based elemental reaction Bloom as it bolsters all damage stemming from that reaction.
As for limited-time events, leaks point to one centering around Arrataki Itto, which explains why so many players think he’ll be the next character rerun in Genshin Impact 3.3. Other events include reruns of the Windtrace and the Misty Dungeon events (the latter being the desert edition). Lastly, there will be a balloon-collecting challenge labeled the “Across the Wilderness” event.
Genshin Impact 3.3: Genius Invokation TCG
Genshin Impact 3.3 will also add a new permanent game mode, and a trading card game at that. Genius Invokation in Genshin Impact was described by HoYoverse as a “light-hearted, casual gameplay mode that has PvE at its core.” However, it will offer both PvE and PvP matches, but the latter will not have any rewards system. Leaked images of the many available cards reveal that they feature notable characters in the playable roster as well as memorable NPCs, like Liben and Katheryne.
It’s also believed that Genshin Impact’s new card game will allow players to challenge known NPCs, which could include 4- and 5-Star characters in every region. There are also hints that the Cat’s Tail in Mondstadt will open up, allowing players to enter the establishment and challenge other NPCs to a game of Genius Invokation. Of course, all this is subject to change, depending on HoYoverse’s final decision.
Genshin Impact is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
