To maintain access to all of the Destiny 2 content that’s been provided by Xbox Game Pass, and more, subscribers that use consoles or the cloud should be prepared to spend a decent amount of money. While it’s not necessary for players to go out of their way to buy the Forsaken expansion, to keep a hold of their Stasis subclasses and participate in other content, players will need to shell out some extra cash. The upside is that much of Destiny 2’s classic content can be bundled, helping to lower the price and providing an avenue for fans to get their hands on everything from expansions to the Season of the Lost storyline.

Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack
Right now, there’s a lot to experience in Destiny 2, and the newly released Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack has added even more content. While the pack itself has drummed up conversations about how PvE should be handled, and whether or not Destiny 2’s dungeons should be treated as DLC, it is still bringing some new lore with it. Moving forward, it’ll be a major part of everything Destiny 2 has to offer, and for fans to be able to play everything before The Witch Queen expansion’s release in February, they’ll need to invest in the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack.
The good news is that the DLC itself runs at about $25, making it accessible for most players. With it comes a slew of content, including the double-edged launcher that is Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2. Alongside the Nine, Xur, and the celestial horse many Guardians have been talking about, there seems to be more included with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack than many players were originally led to believe. The event itself is a pretty big milestone, and while $25 can be a hit to many players’ wallets, it isn’t as much as some of the other content in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2: Legendary Edition
Costing more but filling out the rest of the content that players can participate in is the Legendary Edition. With the Destiny 2: Legendary Edition, players will get access to the Forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light expansions, as well as the current season. Each of these expansions is a major step in the current Light and Darkness story in Destiny 2, with the upcoming Witch Queen expansion being a culmination of almost everything that has happened so far. Likewise, being able to participate in the current season with the season pass that is included in the Destiny 2: Legendary Edition means that players will be able to participate in one of the most important stories leading up to The Witch Queen.
As important as lore is, the Destiny 2: Legendary Edition will also cost players $80. There is a lot of important content contained within the Destiny 2: Legendary Edition, but it is still a pretty steep asking price when a new expansion is only a couple of months away, and another will be vaulted when that one is released. However, for Guardians that are interested in being able to experience everything before The Witch Queen expansion, the Legendary Edition is the best way to do so. When combined with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack, players should expect to spend around $105, but they will also have a lot of content to enjoy before February.
